Speaker mourns death of ATM Shamsuzzaman

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted film actor ATM Shamsuzzaman.

In a condolence message on Saturday, the Speaker prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

An Ekushey Padak winning artist, ATM Shamsuzzaman won the National Film Awards for five times during his long career.

The silver screen actor breathed his last at his Sutrapur residence in the capital early Saturday at the age of 80.
