S M Mohsin laid to rest with state honours

Ekushey Padak-winning actor and theatre activist S M Mohsin was laid to rest with state honour at Azimpur graveyard in the capital on Sunday (April 18).
The actor was buried at about 4:00pm after namaz-e-janaza, confirmed Former Directors Guild General Secretary S A Haque Alik.
The local administration accorded due state honours to him after he was buried.
The 73-year-old actor got admitted to hospital after being infected with coronavirus and he had 70 percent infection in his lung. His physicians tried their best to save him but failed at last.
Mohsin was honored with the Ekushey Padak award in 2020 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry.
