Bridging Bangladesh’s rich literature scene with the ever-growing OTT audience by presenting it as a teledrama is the success of last year's Bongo BoB (Based on Books), an innovative project introduced by team Bongo. In Bongo BoB season 1, the audience enjoyed 7 original contents on the joyous occasion of Eid. This year, the popular streaming platform again comes up with the latest season of Bongo BoB season 2 with another 7 original teledramas based on books.
One of the teledrama Bongo BoB Season 2, ‘Freelancer Nadia', will not only star Mehzabien but our honorable State Minister for ICT Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, too. In the last season, State Minister Palak encouraged the Bongo BoB team with his presence in the Bongo Bob limelight live session about BoB's original "Charer Master" that is based on the government's great initiative of 'Digital Bangladesh'.
This year’s teledrama is based on the popular novel of journalist cum writer Rahitul Islam. This time the audience will see the state minister as a star appearance in the teledrama to portray his important message.
The teledrama 'Freelancer Nadia' features the story of a young woman who empowers herself by gathering ICT knowledge, and improves her family's economic condition through her freelancing work. But her skills and strength are tested when her family faces greater tragedy.
To state the success of Digital Bangladesh in the story, Palak said, "While I speak with the young women during my visits to rural areas, I find that most of them live under the shadows of their families, in laws or husbands. However, they urge us to become educated & do something to contribute to the family and society. Today they aspire to learn digital skills & work in local and global markets. Thus, earn handsomely and get better opportunities. This is the true success of our dream conquered as 'Digital Bangladesh'.
"Rahitul offers an exceptional example of a fighter's journey, showcasing transforming traditional Bangladesh to Digital Bangladesh that we dream of, which is very inspiring," he added."
Mr Mushfiqur Rahman Manzu, Chief Content Officer, Bongo, said, "Literature brings the stories that reflect our lives. So, we have long wanted to work on life-oriented Literature outside of the traditional genre. With that goal in mind, we are back again with Bongo Bob Season 2.
We hope that the appreciation and love that we got from the viewers in Bongo Bob Season 1 again continues this time. I would also like to express my gratitude to the Hon'ble Minister of ICT, Zunaid Ahmed Palak Bhai, for his continuous support and encouragement.
