After the massive success of 'Soorarai Pottru Swapnobaj', the Video streaming platform Bongo is about to publish another super hit movie, the star-studded sports drama ’Irudhi Suttru’ aka ‘Amar Mohammad Ali’, directed by award-winning South Indian director Sudha.

K.Prasad. 'Irudhi Suttru' is dubbed in Bengali and released as 'Amar Mohammad Ali'. The film stars R. Madhavan, Ritika Singh, Nassar, Mumtaz Sorcar and many others. Amazingly, lead actor R. Madhavan, who played the role of talented yet failed boxer Prabhu Selvaraj, transformed her body and weight to match his character by following a diet under the famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. The character is inspired by the real-life boxing coach Mohammed Ali Qamar from Kolkata.

The film's lead actress is a talented newbie and a real-life kickboxer Ritika Singh. The director herself wrote the screenplay of this sports drama.

'Irudhi Suttru' first premiered in theaters on January 29, 2016.

The story revolves around the badass boxer Prabhu Selvai whose talent is completely ignored & for his rudeness, the federation challenged and transferred him to a secluded city where he can never fulfill his dream of preparing a champ. But, who would know that the arrogant coach finds his prodigy in a rebel girl Madhi & pushes her to be the champion she deserves. But, wait, what about Madhi’s sister, whose dream is to become a boxer so that the city police force can recruit her! More and more twists yet need to reveal, folks. For the noted film, versatile actor R. Madhavan came back to fame after 4 long years & won the Filmfare award for Best Actor while Sudha Kongara won for Best Director. In addition, the actress cum mixed martial artist Ritika Singh won the National Award in the Special mention category for her role in the film. She also won 2 Filmfare Awards – One for Best Debut in Hindi and the other for Best Actress in Tamil.
