Television actress Tunisha Sharma died by suicide on December 24.

Soon after her death, there were speculations that she was pregnant at the time of suicide as no scars were found on her body. Now, police dismissed the rumours and said that she wasn’t pregnant and died due to suffocation after hanging.

When asked, the DCP commented that the investigation and post-mortem are still underway. The same was completed at JJ hospital in Mumbai during the early hours on December 25. They have ruled out pregnancy speculations and have also confirmed that the actress passed away due to suffocation after hanging.

The 20-year-old actress reportedly hanged herself in the makeup room of her former boyfriend, Sheezan Mohammed Khan. They were co-stars in Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. Tunisha’s mortal remains were taken for post-mortem at JJ hospital in Mumbai during the early hours today. The report confirms that Tunisha’s death was by suffocation. No injury marks were found on her body.
