I always think about people before making a video: RJ Zibraan

Many people are trying to be content creators in social media now. It is getting popular day by day. But, it takes love, faith and good works to be a good one and recognized one. Zibraan is a very popular name from them. Risingbd talked to Zibraan recently that are mentioned below.

Risingbd: From where did your journey in the media sector start?

Zibraan:  I have completed SSC and HSC in Rajshahi. My journey started when I started working at a local radio station named Radio Padma. I had to learn to talk properly in standard Bengali. From there, my journey started.

Risingbd: Tell us about your struggles.

Zibraan: My parents wanted me to study engineering but I knew that I will not be able to become a good engineer. So, I told them that I want to go to Dhaka and study BBA. My parents were upset to hear that but they accepted it,   only wanted to give tuition fees and offered me that “I have to earn money to fulfil my basic needs”. Then I came to Dhaka and got admitted to Dhaka City College. From there, my struggle began. At first, I used to live in Mohammadpur and started work as a house tutor for Tk 6000. It was not enough. Then a friend of mine from Dhaka University told me to stay with him in his hall. There I had to bear only my food cost. I started to apply for different jobs. I went to a lot of interviews and got rejected. It was a very hard time. It was hard to deal with those rejections. But I never lost hope.

I tried and every time I improved myself. I thought about what I wanted to do and will love doing it. So, I started to apply for RJ at different radio stations. I got rejected by Radio Next, Radio Dhoni and Spice FM.  I finally got a job at Bangla Radio 95.2 FM. But I was still struggling because the money was not enough. I still remember that I used to walk to go to my office because if I take a rickshaw then in the middle of the month I will not have any money. While I was working in the radio station I thought about making videos where I will reach people and I started to make videos. It took me almost two and a half years to reach people and make people believe in me. After that, I started to get followers and things have changed from then.

Risingbd: It is not easy to hold people's faith, especially in the media. But people still love you and have faith in you. What reasons do you think work behind this?

Zibraan: When I make a video, I always think about them. I think about what I can give them. I always try to give them something new. I try to talk from different angles and talk about different genres. I have already talked about history, art, literature, and sports. I have already done infotainment. It was not an easy journey. But I believe if I had not gone through this journey full of struggles, I couldn't be who I am today. Life is a story so I tried to make it a good one. So, I think this is why people love me and still have faith in me.

Risingbd: Tell us about your recent activities?

Zibraan: Recently, I went to Qatar to host the launch event of a book written by the Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar and I am still trying to create something new and share with people who are giving me love. I am a business-minded person. So, what I earn, I try to invest. So, I am doing that also.
