I am the last Mughal of film line: Asha Bhosle

Veteran artiste and singer Asha Bhosle has been working as a singer in the movie industry for eight decades, having sung in a variety of languages over the years.
Ashaji started singing at the age of 10. In 1945, she arrived in Mumbai to try her hand at playback singing.
Singer Asha Bhosle recently addressed a press conference, during which she spoke about how well she knows the film industry's history.
She spoke about the movie business, and called herself the last Mughal of the industry.
The singer said, “Only I know the history of the film industry...There are so many stories that it will take me three-four days if I start talking about it. I have not forgotten anything. I am the last Mughal of this film line.”
For her work in the creative field, Asha has been honoured with two National Film Awards as well as 18 Maharashtra State Film Awards.
On her 90th birthday on September 8, Ashaji hopes to perform at a live three-hour concert in Dubai.
It will be a special show, as it will have a Broadway feel and look back at Ashaji's journey in the field of music through the years.
