6th International Loving-Peace Art Competition held

The DPS STS Art Department and DPS STS Start-up Guru Club organized the 6th International Loving-Peace Art Competition 2024 in collaboration with Flame a r t s open studio, Dhaka representative of International Women Peace Group (IWPG) South Korea at the DPS STS Senior School campus’s assembly area on March 23. 

The participants were art students of both lower-secondary and upper-secondary sections.

The event began with an introduction about the competition, judges and guests by the Senior School Art teacher Ms Rania Alam. Following this, a high school student, Humayra Afia, gave a speech to the students about her participation in this competition last year and inspired the participants to draw and paint with the theme of International Peace.

Two DPS STS students also gave a speech about the subject of world peace. Head of Clubs of Senior School Ms Nusrat Jahan also gave a speech to inspire the students. After the speeches, the competition began and lasted for two and a half hours. The In-Charge of Start Up Guru Club Mr Sultan Kawsar Jadu helped organize this competition.  

The artworks of the DPS STS were judged by artist and Founder of Flame a r t s open studio Dhaka Rashed Kamal. Here are the names of the winners:

1st: Kritika Khetan 5E (Age 11)
2nd: Ashfia Chowdhury Maliha 5C (Age 11)
3rd: Aaratrika Arya 5E (Age 11)

1st: Rumaisa Mahmud 8G (Age 14)
2nd: Anya Kakkar 8B Age 13)
3rd: Fabiha Afaf 8B (Age 15)
4th: Apsara sargam 7G (Age 14)

Group 4

1st: Zunaira Mirza 9c (Age 16)
