Israel launches missile attack on Iran

Israeli missiles have hit a site in Iran, ABC News reported late on Thursday (April 19).

Iran's state television reported the explosion in the country's Isfahan city.

Multiple explosions were heard near the country's Isfahan city, according to Iran's state media.

Earlier, the Israeli administration warned of a strong response after Iran launched a drone and missile attack on Israel last Saturday.

Meanwhile, air defense systems were activated over several Iranian cities.

Earlier, Iran launched an unprecedented missile and drone attack on Israel last week in response to an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Syria on April 1.
