Body of Iran President Raisi being sent to Tabriz

The bodies of Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation have been recovered after the helicopter crash. Their bodies are being sent to Tabriz town now.

Quoting the chief of Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), the state news agency IRNA said this on Monday (May 20).

Red Crescent chief Pir-Hossein Kolivand said, "We have started moving the bodies of the victims to Tabriz." The rescue operation has been completed.

Earlier, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed, Iranian interior minister said on Sunday (May 19). The wreckage of the helicopter was found on Monday, about 16 hours after the crash.
