Pakistan`s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar
Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has requested Bangladesh to postpone his visit to the country due ongoing tension with India over the Kashmir issue.
The foreign minister made the request at a press conference on Thursday (April 24).
The minister was scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday on a two-day official visit, with both countries working to finalize several instruments expected to be signed during the visit.
The groundwork for the visit was laid during the foreign secretary-level Foreign Office Consultation (FOC) held in Dhaka on April 17 last, the first such meeting in 15 years.
