22 killed in China restaurant fire

A devastating fire broke out at a restaurant in Liaoyang City, located in northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Tuesday afternoon, claiming the lives of 22 people and leaving three others injured.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been disclosed as authorities continue investigations into the tragedy.

According to state news agency Xinhua, the president has asked the local officials to determine the cause of the incident and hold those who are responsible to account.  

Images showcase a huge fire fuming from the doors and windows of the two or three story building. 

This is a second such incident that has occurred in China this month.
