6 on private jet presumed dead after crash into San Diego

A Cessna 550 crashed near Salmon Street in a Murphy Canyon neighborhood while preparing to land at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport, reports nbc.
The FAA said six passengers were aboard the private jet at the time of the crash. It is believed there are no survivors.
The jet clipped a power line before the crash and there was no communication tower active at the time, the NTSB said.
Several homes caught fire as an apparent result of the crash, leading to 100 residents being evacuated from the military housing neighborhood.
A temporary evacuation site is set up at Hancock Elementary School, located 3303 Taussig St., San Diego.
It was unclear how many people were onboard the plane when it crashed. Police said they believed no one on the ground was killed but could not immediately confirm that.
The crash will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board._Agencies.
