Man tries to sell daughter for liquor

International Desk: A man hailing from Raath area of Hamirpur in India allegedly attempted to sell his 15-year-old daughter to get money for liquor.

The girl has lodged a complaint, accusing her father of striking a deal with a man hailing from Pawai area of the district.

She said her father did not find his regular earnings enough to purchase the amount of liquor he craved. Three accused have been arrested. The girl's father, however, managed to escape.

The girl alleged that many people had been frequenting her house for the last few days. They misbehaved with her and tried to outrage her modesty, she said.

SHO Raath Kotwali GS Pandey said on Thursday that three accused have been arrested.
