The global death toll from the novel coronavirus or COVID-19 has risen to 3,115 after China's National Health Commission (NHC) announced its latest figures.
The NHC reported another 31 deaths today, all of which were in Hubei province, where the epidemic began. It is the lowest rise in China's death toll in almost a week.
The total number of confirmed cases in mainland China is now 80,151, bringing the global total to 90,506.
The death toll in mainland China is now 2,943. At least 172 deaths have been reported outside mainland China.
