12 Bangladeshis detected with coronavirus positive in Malaysia

A total of 416 foreigners including 12 Bangladeshis have tested positive for coronavirus in Malaysia.

Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia, quoting the Health Ministry of the country, confirmed the news.

According to Malaysia Health Ministry, of the 416 cases, the positive Covid-19 cases included nationals from Indonesia (51 cases), India (37 cases), Myanmar (31 cases), Pakistan (29 cases), the Philippines (27 cases), China (25), Bangladesh (12) and others.

On Thursday, Malaysia Health Ministry said that ministry is working closely with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to ensure that refugees and asylum seekers are covered in the prevention activities that are carried out by the government.
