Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled Kabul, in cars full of money.

For its part, CNN reported that the president left the presidential palace in Kabul by helicopter.

A senior official in the Afghan interior said that the information of the president’s departure is correct, while the Afghan presidency stressed that his movements could not be disclosed for security reasons.
