Mastermind of Israel attack Hamas commander killed

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Saturday (October 14) said it killed Ali Qadi, the Hamas commander who led the October 7 attacks leading to the death of over 1,400 Israelis and targeted the communities living in southern Israel.

Ali Qadi is the commander of the Hamas ‘Nukhba’ (elite) commando force, the IDF said in a statement. They said that he was killed in a drone strike based on intelligence inputs received by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate.

“Air Force aircraft, under the intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet and Amman, killed Ali Qadi, a commander in the Nukhba force of the terrorist organisation Hamas, who led a terrorist attack in the settlements surrounding Gaza last weekend. In 2005 Ali was arrested following the kidnapping and murder of Israelis and was returned as part of the Gilad Shalit deal,” the Israeli Air Force said in a post in X (formerly Twitter).

The IDF said Qadi was arrested earlier by Israeli police in 2005 on charges of kidnapping and murder of Israeli civilians and was released to Gaza Strip as part of the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange._Agencies
