Locals besiege Kafrul police station

Staff Correspondent: Locals besieged the capital’s Kafrul police station with the dead body of a housemaid on Monday noon.

According to sources, the dead body of Jorina Begum Joli (22) was recovered in the morning from the ground floor of a residential building of NAM Quarter at Mirpur-13.  

Later, the locals blacked the Kazipara-Shewrapara road around 9.30am, creating huge traffic jam in the area. Being informed, police removed the locals from the road.

Later, the locals besieged Kafrul police station, demanding the arrest of the killer.

Relatives of Joli alleged that she was killed by the son of a government official after she was rapped.
