Long tailback on Dhaka-Tangail highway

Staff Correspondent: A long tailback has been created on Friday on Dhaka-Tangail highway as innumerable vehicles got stuck on the highway due to Eid-ul-Fitr rush.

The pressures of vehicles were seen serious in various points of highway including Gorai of Mirzapur, Dherua rail crossing, Natiyapara of Delduar, Pakulla, Basail of Tangail.

Earlier on Thursday night, a long tailback on highway in Natiyapara area, a spillover effect of traffic jam caused by breakdown of some trucks and light vehicles. Later, law enforcers rushed to the spot and bring the traffic situation under control around 6:00am.  
 
On the other hand, the low-income people were seen moving to their destination by using open trucks and pickups.  

Additional police forces were deployed on highways to ease the traffic jams.
