Model Sabira commits suicide

Entertainment Desk: Model Sabira Hossain committed suicide by hanging with ceiling fan at a flat of the capital`s Rupnagar area.

 

Police on Tuesday morning recovered her body from the flat where Sabira used to live alone.

 

Confirming the news, Sayed Shahidul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rupnagar Model Police Station, said she might have committed suicide over feud of family and lover affairs. Her body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.

 

Sabira posted a status and video clip on Facebook before she had taken her life.

 

The video clip shows that Sabira, lying on a bed, was trying to kill herself by cutting her throat and stabbing her stomach with a knife.

 

Tagging the post to Nirjhar she finally wrote, "He (Nirjhar) is responsible for my death. If I die, he will be responsible."

 

Sabira was engaged in modeling in photography of different commodities and fashion houses. She was a presenter as well.

 

She also worked at Gaan Bangla TV, her Facebook profile revealed.
