MPO teachers to get new pay scale

Staff Correspondent:  Teachers of schools and colleges enlisted under the government`s monthly pay order (MPO) coverage will get salaries and allowances under the new pay scale.

A circular was issued on Sunday noon to implement the government`s decision.

Earlier, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told reporters that teachers of educational institutions enlisted under the government`s MPO coverage will get salaries according to newly declared national pay scale.

Last Tuesday, the government gazette listed the Eighth National Pay Scale for public servants after the Cabinet cleared it in September this year.
