653 judges to be on election duty

Some 653 judges will be appointed to check crimes and maintain the law and order during the forthcoming general election.
Joint Secretary (legal) of Election Commission Md Mahbubar Rahman Sarkar has sent a requisition letter to the ministry of law in this regard. He said this to newsmen on Saturday.
Mahbubar Rahman said that there will be 653 judges who will carry out their duties for five days- two days before the polling day, the polling day and two days after the polling day. We have given the requisition, requesting necessary actions for the appointment.
They will give punishment to the accused in a bid to ensure peaceful environment.
