Parliament election: Last date for nomination paper submission today

Today, Thursday (November 30) is the last date for submission of nomination papers for the upcoming 12th parliament election.

Earlier on November 15 as per the announced election schedule, the Election Commission set November 30 as the last date for submission of nomination papers for the upcoming national election.

According to the polls schedule, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be held between December 1 and 4. The deadline for withdrawal of candidature is December 17.

The candidates could appeal against the Returning Officers’ (ROs) decisions between December 6 and 15.

The ROs will distribute electoral symbols among candidates on December 18 and the candidates could conduct their electioneering from December 18 to 8am on January 5.
