Directive to send proposals about transfer of OCs by Dec 8

The Election Commission (EC) has directed to send proposals about the transfer of officers-in-charge (OCs) across the country with a view to holding the upcoming 12th general election in free and fair manner.

Earlier, the EC instructed to send proposals by December 5.

On Monday, the EC sent a letter to Deputy Secretary of Public Security Division of Home Ministry Md. Mazanur Rahman about the transfer of officers-in-charge (OCs).

According to the letter, the home ministry will have to ensure transfer of all OCs in phases by December 8.
