27 percent nomination papers invalid

The Election Commission (EC) has declared 27 per cent nomination papers invalid in the 12th parliamentary election.

The EC revealed this information on Monday after scrutinising the nomination papers.

According to EC, 1,985 nomination papers have been declared valid out of 2,716 submitted by aspirants for the 12th parliamentary election. It has rejected the remaining 731 nomination papers.
