561 appealed against RO`s decision in EC

A total of 561 people have so far filed appeals in the Election Commission (EC) against the decision of the Returning Officers (ROs) in the selection of nomination papers for the upcoming 12th parliamentary election.

The appeals were filed in last five days, EC Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam informed this on Saturday.

The hearing on the appeals will be held from December 10 to December 15.

Among them, 131 candidates filed appeals on the fifth day (today).
