New oil reserve found in Sylhet

Oil reserves have been discovered at Sylhet-10 well, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said today.

He said that in total, four layers of reserve fuel have been discovered. Oil was found in first layer in Sylhet’s Jaintiapur and Mainatghat. 70 barrels of crude oil were found on the first day.

The state minister revealed the information while talking to journalists at his secretariat office on Sunday (December 10).
