Inflation will come under control very soon: PM

Prime Minister and Leader of the Jatiya Sangsad Sheikh Hasina has said inflation will come under control very soon. 

It is expected that inflation will decrease significantly in 2024 in many countries including the United States and the European Union.

In this situation, the price of fuel, food products and fertilizers will decrease in the world market, the price of fuel oil in the country will be adjusted and the government's initiative to keep the food supply normal will soon bring inflation under control, she said.

The Prime Minister said this in responding to a tabled question of Opposition Chief Whip Mujibul Huq Chunnu at the Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday. 

PM attributed Bangladesh's economic crises mainly to the turmoil caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict in global economy, which came after the economic downturn of the Covid-19 pandemic.
