Metro to run every 8 minutes  

Considering the pressure of passengers, the metro rail authorities have increased trip frequency, and it will be effective from February 17.

Authorities have cut the interval between arrivals of trains at every station by 2 minutes to 8 minutes. 

They will operate trains every eight minutes during peak hours and every 10-12 minutes during off-peak hours.

Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) MAN Siddique announced this on Thursday.

There will be a separate schedule for the month of Ramadan, he said.

Metro rail trains are operating on the Uttara-Motijheel route from 7:30am to 8:40pm.
