Raids conducted at 4 Dhaka hospitals, 36 brokers detained

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has conducted raids at four hospitals in Sher Bangla Nagar area of the capital Dhaka Wednesday (February 28) morning.

Four teams of RAB-2 conducted the raids through mobile courts at Dhaka Shishu Hospital, National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor), National Institute of CardioVascular Diseases (NICVD) and Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital and detained 36 brokers from those medical facilities.

Confirming the matter to the media, Major Mohammad Nazmullahel Wadud, deputy commander of RAB-2, said: “17 people have been detained from Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, four people from Dhaka Shishu Hospital, three people from National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) and 12 people from National Institute of CardioVascular Diseases (NICVD).”
