Ramadan office timing 9am to 3:30pm

The government today fixed office timings for this Ramadan from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
The new timing would be effective for all the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions.
The decision came at a Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday (February 28), with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain briefed the reporters.
Office hours have been fixed for weekdays (Sunday-Thursday) from 9:00am to 3:30pm for the holy month of Ramadan. There would be a 15-minute prayer break from 1:15pm for Zuhr prayer, he said.
Currently, offices operate from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
The Supreme Court, hospitals, banks, insurance agencies, emergency services providing organisations will fix their own time, he added.
