RAB DG reveals origin of fire

The death toll has reached 46 after the devastating fire broke out at the seven-storey Green Cozy Cottage Shopping Mall on Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday night.

Many suspected that the fire erupted from the ‘Kacchi Bhai’ restaurant but later it came to know that the origin of the fire was from a shop on ground floor in the building.

Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion M Khurshid Hossain said this to newsmen after visiting the spot on Friday.

He also visited the victims.
