One dies from Covid, 53 cases reported

One more person died from COVID-19 in the country during the last 24 hours till Friday morning, raising the number of fatalities from the viral disease to 29,491.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in addition, 53 new cases were reported across the country during this time.

It said a total of 735 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 7.21 percent.

Besides, the country's total number of coronavirus cases reached 20,48,517 and the total number of recoveries was 20,15,502, it said.
