Three notices served to building owners

Fire Service and Civil Defence issued three notices to the owners of Green Cozy Cottage Shopping Mall previously as part of routine monitoring.

Fire Service and Civil Defence Director General Brig Gen Md Main Uddin said this to newsmen after visiting the spot on Friday.

No fire safety measures were taken despite building owners were notified thrice, he said.

“There was no fire safety in the building. There was only a small stairwell in the whole building”, he said.
