Ekushey book fair ends today

Amar Ekushey Book Fair ends today on the premises of Bangla Academy and at the Suhrawardy Uddyan in Dhaka.

On the concluding day, the fair starts at 11 am and will continue till 9 pm on Saturday (March 2).

Earlier, the book fair was extended by two days with special permission granted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The closing programme of Amar Ekushey Book Fair will start at 5 pm. Director General of Bangla Academy Kabi Muhammad Nurul Huda will deliver the welcome address on the occasion. The report will be presented by the member secretary KM Mujahidul Islam of ‘Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2024’.

Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury, Prime Minister’s advisor on education and culture will be present as the chief guest. Culture Secretary Khalil Ahmed will be present as a special guest. The president of Bangla Academy, novelist Selina Hossain, will preside over the programme.

Chittaranjan Saha Memorial Award, Munir Chowdhury Memorial Award, Roknuzzaman Khan Dadabhai Memorial Award and Artist Qayyum Chowdhury Memorial Award will be presented on the occasion.
