S Alam Sugar Mill fire under control after 10 hours

The fire that broke out at S Alam Refined Sugar Mill at Karnaphuli upazila Chattogram, was brought under control about ten hours after breaking out on Monday afternoon.

The fire was completely brought under control at around 2:00 pm on Tuesday.

Chattogram fire service assistant director Abdul Malek confirmed the matter.

Earlier, the fire broke out at S Alam Refined Sugar Mill at Karnaphuli upazila Chittagong around 4:00pm.

Special teams of the army, air force and navy joined the firefighting efforts to douse the fire.
