How to buy advance train tickets online

The sale of advanced train tickets ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr began on Sunday (March 24). All the tickets will be sold online this year too. Tickets for travel on April 3 are on sale today.

Tickets can be collected from the website of Bangladesh Railway, Rail Seba App and Sahaj.com platform. Advance ticket sales will continue till March 30.

Railway sources said tickets will be sold in two shifts to reduce online pressure. The sale of tickets for trains bound for the western zone will start at 8am while sale of tickets for east-bound trains will begin from 2pm.

This time, the number of seats of the train departing from Dhaka will be 33,500.

This is how one can buy advance train tickets for Eid

Passengers can easily collect tickets from railway website. In that case, one time registration will be done on the website of the railways. Those who have already registered can collect tickets only by logging in.

Registration process: 
First passengers will have to enter the website of Bangladesh Railway. Then, they will need to click on the registration tab at the top of the website. A new page called Registration will appear. On this page they have to fill the respective cells with personal information. Later, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number. If all the information is correct, the registration will be successful and a new page named Bangladesh Railway will appear. There the user will be auto logged in.

Kamalapur Railway Station Manager Masud Sarwar said that 100% tickets will be sold online. Steps have been taken to prevent ticket black marketing.

The tickets of April 3 will be sold on Sunday (March 24) while tickets for April 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be sold on tomorrow (March 25) and March 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 respectively.
