Kamrangirchar slum fire doused

A fire that broke out at a tin-shed slum in Jhaochar area under Kamrangirchar Thana in Dhaka has been brought under control.

The fire originated in the slum at around 11:50am on Friday (April 12). On information, seven units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 12:40 pm.

Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Fire Service Civil Defence control room, confirmed the news.

The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
