46 more BGP members take shelter in Bangladesh

46 more members of Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) have taken shelter in Bangladesh through Bandarban’s Naikhongchhari border due to the ongoing conflict between the Myanmar military and the armed rebel group in Myanmar’s Rakhine.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Md Shariful Islam confirmed the latest development on Wednesday (April 17) morning.
He said another 46 BGP members have taken shelter in Bangladesh till Tuesday (April 16) night due to the infighting inside Myanmar. Later, they were disarmed and taken under BGB custody.
Currently, a total of 260 BGP members are taking shelter in Bangladesh.
