Internet service may be disrupted on Thursday

Internet users may experience one hour disruption due to the maintenance work of the country’s second submarine cable (SEA-ME-WE 5) in Kuakata. 

Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday.

Regretting the inconvenience, the authorities informed that the internet service will remain closed or may be disrupted for one hour from 3 am to 4 am on April 18.

However, the circuits of the country’s first submarine cable (SEA-ME-WE 4) will remain functional as usual, according to the press release.
