City bus hits 3rd terminal, engineer killed

A senior sub-assistant engineer was killed when a passenger bus hit boundary wall of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport’s third terminal on Friday (April 19).

The deceased was known a Maidul Islam Siddique.

Sumon Chandra Das, a sub-inspector at airport police station said a bus of Raida Paribahan broke through the security wall of the third terminal when its driver lost control over the streeting around 10:00am. Meanwhile, the victim was riding a motorcycle on the road. He received critical injury when his bike was rammed by the bus.

The injured was taken to Kurmitola general hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

After the accident, the bus driver, helper fled the scene.
