Bus hits HSIA’s 3rd terminal boundary wall, driver held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1) has arrested the driver of the bus that lost control and crashed through the boundary wall of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport’s (HSIA) third terminal on Friday (April 19) morning, killing a civil aviation engineer.
The driver is Hasan Mahmud Himel and he was arrested from Hizla upazila of Barisal early Saturday (April 20).
RAB-1 confirmed his arrest to the media at noon.
Details regarding the issue will be briefed later.
Earlier, a local bus, named Raida Paribahan, toppled the boundary wall of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport’s third terminal after killing a civil aviation engineer in Dhaka. The accident took place in front of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway at around 10am on Friday.
Soon after the incident, the bus driver and helper fled the scene. However, the bus was seized.
