PM directs to strengthen market monitoring system

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked the authorities concerned to strengthen the market monitoring system to control the prices of daily commodities.

The premier gave the directives to the state minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu while chairing a cabinet meeting at Tejgaon on Monday (May 20).

Cabinet secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said this while briefing reporters after the meeting.

The secretary said also that although there is no crisis, the prices of several products are increasing. She gave strict instructions to the state minister for commerce to check that.
