“US sanction on ex-army chief not under visa policy”

Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud opined that the former chief of Bangladesh Army Aziz Ahmed was not sanctioned under the visa policy.

The minister said this while addressing a program at meet the reporters at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Tuesday noon (May 21).

He said that the United States had issued the visa policy. The former chief of Bangladesh Army was not sanctioned under that visa policy. Our mission was informed earlier regarding the issue. We are working with the US on anti-corruption, anti-terrorism issues.

Meanwhile, the minister talked about the missing issue of Jhenaidah-4 lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar.
