Directive to withdraw 5 OCs 

The Election Commission (EC) has ordered Inspector General of Police (IGP) to withdraw five Officers-in-Charge (OCs) due to their controversial records in the sixth phase upazila parishad polls.

A letter signed by Md Mizanur Rahman, deputy secretary (current charge) of the EC, was sent on Monday.

They are OC of Debidwar in Cumilla, OC of Faridganj in Chandpur, OC of Chandanaish and OC of Anowara in Chattogram. 

Additionally, the EC has decided that the OC of Dumki police station in Patuakhali will be attached to the office of the DIG office until the election is completed.
