300 platoons of BGB deployed

A total of 300 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh have been deployed to maintain law and order ahead of the third phase of Upazila Parishad Elections billed for May 29.

BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam revealed the information on Tuesday (May 28).

He said that BGB will work as a mobile and striking force in the electoral areas from May 27 to 31.

Earlier, a total of 418 platoons of BGB were deployed during the first phase of election and 457 platoons during the second phase.
