Cabin crew detained with 2kg gold at HSIA

A female cabin crew of Saudi Airlines was detained along with around two kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday night (May 29).

The detainee is known as Rokeya Khatun.

A case has been filed against her under the special power act with the Airport police station.

Mohammad Ziaul Haque, Additional police super at the Airport armed police battalion confirmed the matter.

He said that SV-804 landed at the airport from Riyadh around 10 pm. They detained the cabin crew when she was crossing the airport's green channel.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered 11 gold bars, eight gold bangles and gold chain, searching her body, he said.
