Traffic movement normal on Dhaka-Tangail highway

Traffic on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway has returned to normal after about eight hours. However, the pressure of vehicles is seen on the route.

Earlier, long tail back was seen on the highway due to multiple road accidents around 5:00am today (June 14). The traffic congestion spread from Bangabandhu Bridge’s eastern bank to Pabna Sadar’s Rabna bypass area. Home-bound people suffered a lot due to the 20-kilomere long traffic jam.

Later, smooth movement of vehicles, is observed at the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway around 1:00pm.

Elenga highway police outpost In-charge Sajedur Rahman, said that the traffic on this highway increased from midnight. Moreover, several accidents have occurred at different places on the highway. Traffic is moving slowly as it takes some time to remove the crashed vehicles from highway.
