IGP for taking action if overseas travel ban instructions given

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that action will be taken according to the law if instructions are given on banning foreign travel of the persons against whom corruption charges are surfaced.

The IGP made the comment while speaking at a programme in the capital on Monday (June 24).

In reply to a query of journalists, IGP Al-Mamun said police cannot stop anyone anytime they want. They have to go through the law.
